A video about notario Immigration fraud from the American Immigration Lawyers Association
It is particularly important to watch out for fraudsters when Immigration Reform is possibly coming. The law is uncertain and people will take advantage by telling you just what you want to hear -- even if it isn't true.
Do you have any good tips on avoiding fraud and finding a good immigration lawyer in Jacksonville, FL? My best friend will be immigrating into the US soon and it would really help to know where someone who did a good job was (or at least find someone), just in case. Thanks for the help!
Good question - there is no perfect solution but one of the best ways to make sure you have competent representation is to look for membership in professional associations like AILA the American Immigration Lawyers Association here is a link:

Also the local or State Bar Associations may have a list of attorneys to whom they can refer people who need immigration related legal assistance.
